TORU YONAHA

Okinawan folk music sensation Toru Yonaha will give a special performance on Friday, Nov. 2, from 4 to 5:30 p.m. at Akabanaa, 22 Peace Plaza, Suite 520, in San Francisco Japantown.

The producer, singer, and multi-instrumentalist from Chatan, Okinawa will be singing and playing the sanshin, followed by an autograph session and yuntaku (casual conversation) with customers.

The store, which specializes in Okinawan products, is located on the second floor of the Miyako Mall, between the Hotel Kabuki (formerly Miyako Hotel) and Peace Plaza. Akabanaa celebrated its first-year anniversary in July with Okinawan music and dancing.
