Woodblock Print Exhibit in J-Town

“Nihonbashi” is the first print in Hiroshige’s series.

The famed woodblock prints of Hiroshige’s “Fifty Three Stations on the Tokaido Highway, Hoei-do Version” will be on display in San Francisco Japantown at the Kintetsu Mall, 1737 Post St., from Oct. 13 to Nov. 11.

The exhibit will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily. The event is organized by the Tokyo Woodblock Prints Association, along with Japan Publications Trading Co. Ltd. and JP Trading Inc.

In commemoration of this event, there will be a celebration ceremony and demonstration on Friday, Oct. 12, at 6 p.m. in the Kintetsu Mall. The public is invited to attend.
